MTWSN 3000 - a further evolution of MTWSN - provides a wireless solution for temperature and humidity monitoring at critical points, to better meet applicable regulations (for example, HACCP).
MTWSN 3000 while featuring all MTWSN functions also provides real-time monitoring of additional environmental parameters, such as energy consumption. Sensor nodes feature modular interfaces that allow Montalbano Technology’s engineers to use sensors for monitoring pressure, fluid levels, Ph, etc…
This network solution is particularly recommended for distributed monitoring of reefer cells, refrigerated displays or counters, and in rooms of various types in hotels, shops, canteens, warehouses, industrial plants, and storage centres, as well as whenever certain environmental parameters must be accurately monitored.
MTWSN 3000 also has “data-logging” functionalities: in other words, sensors can record required data also during transportation or throughout different logistic processes and automatically download them when back at the unit installation base (warehouse, point-of-sale, distribution centre, etc).
The network automatically sends non-stop information to a data collector with remote Internet access. Also, all data collected by the network are processed and filed by a network management software, creating graphs, statistics, prints, temperature logs, and running a system of real time alarms (via text messages or e-mail) in case of safety threshold violation.
The SP3000T sensor is a wireless device, operating in the 2,4 Ghz band, which allows users to monitor the temperature of perishable goods with an accuracy of 0,5 °C in the range between -40°C and + 85 °C. The internal battery ensures an average lifetime of three years in standard
working conditions, while the radio components guarantee a coverage up to 60 meters outdoor and up to 30 in indoor conditions.
The SP3000TH humidity sensor is a compact wireless device operating in the 2,4 Ghz band, which allows users to monitor both the temperature and the relative humidity of an environment with an accuracy of about 2%. The radio performances and the expected lifetime are the same of SP3000T which is enclosed in the same external case.
The 3000 Series Extended SmartPoint CO2 (ESP3000T/H/CO2) is an economic, fully battery- powered SmartPoint for 3000 Series wireless sensor networks. The ESP3000T/CO2 combines an accurate internal temperature & humidity sensor with a 0-2000 ppm low-power CO2 sensor, based on NDIR technology. The CO2 readings has an accuracy of about 50 ppm and a resolution of 1 ppm in the range 0 - 2000 ppm.
PT100 probe sensor
The PT100 external probe sensor is a wireless temperature sensor especially designed for professional usage where the constraints in term of accuracy and measurement range are extremely tight. The PT100 probe ensures an accuracy ranging from 0,1°C to 0,5°C and a very wide range, between -200 °C and +650 °C. The case includes also a standard SP3000 T sensor allowing correlation analysis among the two measurements. The device uses replaceable batteries so that the hardware lifetime is virtually endless.
MicroRouters are wireless routers which provide data transport for SmartPoints within their combined area of coverage. A 3000 Series Active RFID Network contains as many MicroRouters as needed for site coverage. The reliable mesh networking technology ensures that data travels over the
shortest and best route available. The weatherproof (IP65 compliant) MR-3000 can be used indoor and outdoor, it only requires an external power source. The typical coverage is about 150 meter in outdoor usage and 50 meter in indoor.
The GW3000 gateway is the device that interconnects the WSN with the user PC, allowing the reception and the storage of the data gathered from the sensors and all the configuration procedures. The GW3000 has a serial RS-232 interface which can be used to read the data package coming from the WSN and to send configuration messages to every single node. Every GW3000 has two AA batteries that ensure a complete functionality for about 48 hours even in case of power shortage.
The contact sensor SP3000 C is a wireless device that monitor the state of a generic contact such as a door, a fridge, a locker and similar. The device reports to the infrastructure devices, the state of the monitored contact both in a synchronous and in an asynchronous way. The performances in term of radio coverage and lifetime depend on the usage patterns (how frequently the contact is opened/closed) but in standard operating conditions can be similar to SP3000 T.
A Connect Box is basically a small embedded PC that runs Ambient Connect software. The 3000 Series Gateway is attached to the Connect Box using the RS232 interface and the Connect Box goes online by plugging in an Ethernet cable or interfacing it with a nearby WLAN. The Connect Box provides two data streams: a Connect API, a XML-based message stream for easy integration, and an interface named AmbiLink, a dedicated data stream that runs in parallel and can be used for remote maintenance of a network.
MTWSN3000 Desktop Manager is a Java management application that allows Montalbano Technology's customers to interact with the MTWSN3000 network. The application has an intuitive GUI with several functionalities such as data browsing in both tabular and graphical way and data export in CSV and Microsoft Excel format. The user can filter data and export his selection for further processing and analysis. The application allows also the user to configure each sensor threshold and sampling period and to selectively enable the HACCP automatic report generation. MTWSN3000 Desktop Manager can be programmed to send alarms via GSM or email when threshold violations occur.
RemoteWSN is a J2EE web applications that allows Montalbano Technology's customers to interact with the MTWSN3000 network via a standard browser such us Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer. The application is hosted on a Linux server an offers an intuitive GUI with the same functionalities found in MTWSN3000 Desktop Manager. The user can browse, analyze, filter and export data for further processing and analysis. The application allows also the user to configure each sensor thresholds and sampling period and to selectively enable the HACCP automatic report generation. Also RemoteWSN can be programmed to send alarms via GSM or email when threshold violations occur.
