Derivatives & Customized Products
Temperature control for perishable goods is key for consumer and patient safety. Montalbano Technology’s products are specially designed to monitor environmental parameters, such as temperature and relative humidity. In particular, they are useful to monitor perishable goods throughout the entire shipping and handling process and storage in standard or reefer cells.
Montalbano Technology’s products are particularly suitable for fresh or frozen food, pharmaceutical products, blood and plasma products.
Montalbano Technology’s product range provides expandable and adjustable technology platforms. Through its modular sensor interface, MT WSN may be fitted with new sensors (MTWSN series 3000).
Also MTSens can be upgraded, to provide solutions with different characteristics and functions. Starting from this platform, Montalbano Technology’s Research Team has developed the prototypes of other three products - MTShock, MTHumidity and MTCap - that can be industrialized upon request.
A device with an RFID interface to detect and store data about collisions and vibrations. With its shock-resistant casing, this device can be applied on pallets and packaging to monitor goods during shipping and detect shocks that could damage the goods. Owing to its modular design, it can be used to detect vibrations of building structures (e.g. bridges, railway tracks, etc…), as well as to monitor the position of goods during transport.
Just like MTSens, it is an RFID smart tag for recording relative humidity and temperature data. This device was designed to monitor humidity sensitive goods such as: cut flowers, potted plants, fruit, and electronic components.
A smart cap with RFID interface monitoring the very condition of (open or closed) caps, recording all data on it and keeping a time log. MTCap has been designed as an anti-tamper device for fuel tanks, but it may also be used on any type of container for sensitive goods.
